Vision, mission and values
Ferndale High School is guided by its vision, mission and values. These are the foundation for achieving its goals (strategic objectives).
Staff and Management (SMT)
FHS is managed by the Principal, Executive Management Team and Senior Management Team (SMT). In addition to this there are Heads of Departments, Academic Heads and Discipline Heads that fulfil the additional management functions in these areas.

Representative Council of Learners (RCL)
Teachers at Ferndale High School will go out of their way to engage their students and inspire them to enquire and learn. This class gives our students a chance to apply their unique skills and expand their horizons by learning something new. Hurry up - there are limited places available in this popular class! FHS was built in 1987 and comprises a solid infrastructure to support the education of learners in both academic and technical subjects.
FHS has an extensive infrastructure which includes:
• 35 classrooms
• Administration facilities
• A main hall
• Media center
• Computer lab
• Technical workshops
• Sports facilities: Rugby, soccer, cricket and hockey fields, netball and tennis courts, swimming pool, cricket nets
• Tuck shop and recreational areas
